Precision Impacts LLC is looking for a hands-on Production Lead for our 2nd Shift Helium Assembly Line. This position will be responsible for leading the technical operation of the line, supporting operators, and keeping production running efficiently throughout the shift.
This is a working lead position for someone who is comfortable operating automated manufacturing equipment, working with FANUC robot controllers, PLC-controlled equipment, and HMIs, and troubleshooting normal production faults and stoppages.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Helium Assembly Line on 2nd shift
- Keep the line running safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Respond to equipment faults, jams, alarms, and production stoppages
- Use FANUC robot controllers and equipment controls to safely recover from faults and reset equipment
- Navigate PLC/HMI screens to identify alarms, faults, and equipment status
- Restart and reset equipment following established procedures
- Troubleshoot common line issues before escalating them to Maintenance
- Recognize when an equipment issue requires Maintenance or Engineering support
- Assist operators when equipment is not cycling or functioning correctly
- Perform line startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and equipment resets
- Monitor production flow and address issues that are slowing or stopping the line
- Help train employees on proper equipment operation and standard procedures
- Ensure employees are following work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures
- Communicate downtime, recurring equipment issues, and production concerns to management
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Production as needed
- Work directly on the production line and assist with production when needed
- Help keep the department organized and production on schedule
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or automated assembly experience preferred
- Experience operating FANUC robots or robotic manufacturing equipment strongly preferred
- Comfortable using robot controllers, HMIs, and other machine interfaces
- Ability to understand equipment alarms and follow proper recovery/reset procedures
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Able to troubleshoot routine production and equipment issues
- Able to learn the sequence and operation of an automated assembly line
- Previous lead experience preferred, but strong technical manufacturing experience will be considered
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Dependable and comfortable taking ownership of the line during the shift
Position Focus
The Production Lead will serve as the go-to person for the Helium Assembly Line on 2nd shift. When a robot faults, equipment jams, the line stops cycling, or another routine production issue occurs, this person should be able to identify the problem and use the appropriate controls to safely recover and restart the equipment.
This position is not responsible for PLC programming, electrical work, wiring, or major equipment repairs. Issues requiring maintenance or engineering work should be properly identified and escalated.
The goal of this position is to keep production moving, reduce unnecessary downtime, support the operators, and ensure the line is running safely and correctly throughout the shift.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
