Sales & Shop Associate Jobs in San Jose, CA at TAP Plastics, Inc.
TAP Plastics is the leading retailer of plastics and plastic-related products in the industry. We are looking for energetic, dependable team members to join our San Jose store. We have one full-time and and one part-time position available.
This is not a typical retail position. Our team works directly with customers, contractors, businesses, hobbyists, and DIY creators while also learning hands-on shop skills in a fast-paced environment.

- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Help customers find products and solutions for their projects
- Process sales transactions and customer orders
- Answer phones and customer emails
- Learn basic shop skills including cutting plastic materials to customer specifications
- Assist with stocking materials and maintaining an organized store
- Help unload deliveries and move materials throughout the store
- Work closely with team members in a busy, customer-focused environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliability and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working on your feet and handling physical tasks throughout the day
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Retail, customer service, warehouse, shop, or hands-on work experience is helpful, but not required
No plastics or fabrication experience is required. We provide hands-on training and opportunities to learn new skills over time.
- Full-time – 40 hours per week, Part-time – up to 28 hours per week
- Monday through Saturday between 8:30am and 5:30pm
