Job Title:
New Business Leasing Specialist
The New Business Leasing Specialist is responsible for driving strategic expansion through targeted lead generation, lease negotiations, and relationship management with landlords and franchisees.
This role plays a critical part in securing prime restaurant locations across South Africa and assists in the broader African region.
The Specialist will identify and secure strategic lease opportunities, including lease takeovers, white box conversions, and lease renewals, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Visits: Minimum of 15 site visits per month.
Lead Generation: Generate at least 5 qualified leads per month.
Lease Agreements: Close and secure a minimum of 4 leases per quarter.
Stakeholder Meetings: Conduct at least 3 engagements with current landlords per month and present key insights to internal stakeholders.
Reporting: Submit weekly, monthly, and board reports in a timely manner.
Expansion Pipeline: Maintain and update a rolling 12-month pipeline of new sites.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric qualification.
Proven experience in lead generation, site identification, lease negotiation, stakeholder relationship management, and expansion support.
Ability to travel extensively within South Africa and potentially to other African countries.
Additional Responsibilities:
Generate high-potential leads within the first three months and maintain target site lists.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities in malls, busy streets, and urban nodes.
Lead lease negotiations and evaluate site opportunities for strategic growth.
Build relationships with key landlords and franchisees, serving as the liaison between stakeholders.
Support franchisees with site feasibility and location strategies.
Collaborate with finance and operations for ROI and feasibility assessments.
Participate in and contribute to weekly meetings, provide progress reports, and update the development pipeline.
Travel extensively within South Africa and possibly other African countries for site inspections and stakeholder meetings.
