Verde River Growers is a local nursery spanning 15 acres, located in the heart of Cottonwood, AZ along the Verde River. We grow a diverse plant pallete designed for the climates of Northern Arizona.
Overview: Maintain all equipment and site infrastructure. Check scheduled maintenance for all vehicles and schedule repairs when needed, maintain irrigation systems, pumphouse, and pond. Provide support to other managers relating to repairs, production, and customer loading. Assist with loading delivery trucks. Accountability and organization of tools and supplies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintenance
- Maintain site infrastructure
- Herbicide application
- Maintain organization of tools and supplies
- Seasonal maintenance for winter and summer changes
- Understand the plumbing layout and where buried pipes and electric lines are located
- Maintain equipment
Loading and Deliveries
- Assist with loading our delivery trucks
- Direct truck shipments to safe and appropriate unloading zones
- Receive merchandise and hand in paperwork
- Assist with loading customers
Production
- Assist with production
- Understand production paperwork, and hand in completed papers to the office
- Maintain proper planting practices and quality control
- Mix soil
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
