Overview
Our client, an EV battery raw material manufacturer located in Commerce, GA, is seeking an experienced Production Operator – Line Leader to join their production team. This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on production experience who is capable of independently operating and monitoring production equipment while also providing leadership and guidance to other operators.
The Line Leader will be responsible for supporting daily production activities, ensuring proper operating procedures and safety standards are followed, performing basic equipment troubleshooting, and training and instructing Production Operators on work processes. Candidates with previous experience as a Line Leader, Lead Operator, or in a similar manufacturing leadership role are strongly preferred.
Experience in chemical manufacturing or chemical production is a plus.
Primary Duties
- Operate and monitor the production line and related equipment.
- Maintain machines and computer-operated production equipment with care.
- Verify that the correct solvents, salts, and additives match production paperwork and maintain accurate measurements throughout the production process.
- Perform basic troubleshooting when production equipment is not operating properly.
- Inspect machines and equipment prior to start-up.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Identify and remove expired inventory from the worksite.
- Assist with forklift operations when needed, if qualified.
- Lead, train, and instruct other Production Operators on proper production procedures and work processes.
- Support day-to-day production activities and help ensure operators follow established procedures and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Previous manufacturing/production experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior Line Leader, Lead Operator, or similar leadership experience is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work additional hours, weekends, or outside regular working hours as needed.
- Chemical manufacturing or chemical production experience is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
