Position Summary
The Maintenance & Facilities Technician plays a critical role in driving plant productivity, safety, and efficiency. This position is directly responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing both plant equipment (including CNC machinery, saws, and grinders) and facility systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will minimize machine downtime, ensure adherence to ISO and quality standards, and support our commitment to delivering high-quality parts to our customers on time.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Repair
- Breakdown Response: Deliver rapid-response troubleshooting and emergency repairs on CNC machines, industrial saws, grinding equipment, and other production assets to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform scheduled PM checks and routine servicing across all machinery to ensure high equipment availability.
- Mechanical & Electrical Repairs: Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace worn and defective mechanical/electrical components (e.g., bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches).
- System Diagnostics: Inspect, listen to, and test operating machinery to accurately identify root causes of mechanical or electrical failure.
Continuous Improvement & Operations
- Root Cause Analysis: Participate in and support RCA and Continuous Improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring equipment issues and boost uptime.
- Parts & Inventory Management: Initiate purchase orders for replacement parts, maintain organized spares, and handle proper cleaning and lubrication of equipment components.
- Operator Training: Assist in training machine operators on basic routine maintenance tasks to encourage operational ownership.
Facility Care & Support
- Facility Maintenance: Perform general facility repairs including basic plumbing, HVAC/heating components, electrical wiring, drywall, plaster, and asset repairs.
- Vendor Escalation: Partner with and oversee external service providers or specialized contractors when complex repairs exceed internal scope.
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport parts, supplies, and tools for installation and repairs.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce all plant safety policies, maintain precise maintenance documentation, and ensure full compliance with ISO quality standards.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical College Degree/Certification preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a CNC Service or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly prints, electrical layouts, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Certifications & Attributes
- Electrician’s license or formal electrical certification is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with the passion to analyze, challenge, and refine processes for peak efficiency.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Environment: Active manufacturing plant environment. Noise levels are typically moderate but can be loud during peak production operations.
- Physical Effort: Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, reach, handle tools, and communicate effectively. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, or kneel.
- Lifting: Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
