My client is looking for an Debtors Administrator. The purpose of the role is to ensure accurate accounting records and reliable financial reporting. Support management through sound financial control and analysis. You need to have an Accounting background at least 2 years experience in Debtors. The successful candidate will manage the full accounts receivable and collections function, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective debt collection and up-to-date financial reporting.
Education & Experience:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting or finance advantageous
- 2 years accounting/ debtors experience advantageous
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of accounting
- Understanding of all the financial cycles
- Understanding of the financial systems
- In depth knowledge of MS Office advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and reconciling revenue
Maintaining debtor ageing reports and monitoring outstanding accounts
Issuing statements and following up on overdue payments
Escalating high-risk or long-outstanding debt and recommending appropriate action
Preparing weekly debtor reports, ageing analyses and management commentary
Supporting cash flow forecasting with accurate debtor information
Resolving customer account queries and disputes within required turnaround times
Maintaining professional communication with customers
Ensuring compliance with finance policies, procedures and internal controls
Supporting management and the finance team with reporting and ad hoc finance tasks
Working with operational teams to improve cost control
Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements within the finance function
