Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented truss Designer/Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise truss drawings/layout designs and detailed estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and industry standards. Your expertise will help streamline project planning, improve system designs, and support successful project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in construction/sales and CAD software, , and documentation within a collaborative environment that values innovation and accuracy.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive truss design schematics/layouts and construction details using Alpine CAD software.
- Create accurate 3D models and visualizations utilizing the Alpine ICommand program. and other modeling tools to support project presentations and planning.
- Prepare detailed construction documentation including drawings, specifications, and system designs aligned with building codes and client requirements.
- Follow the IBC/IRC building codes to ensure all designs meet local regulations and safety standards.
- Generate accurate/timely truss project estimates by analyzing project scope, material costs, labor requirements, and system complexities.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to refine design concepts and ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems, interior layouts, or structural components.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting or architectural design in the construction or building systems industry preferred.
- Strong computer skills/proficiencies in microsoft office
- Hands-on experience working in the building and construction field
- Familiarity with construction detail documentation and building code compliance processes.
- Previous experience in estimating project costs based on detailed drawings and specifications preferred
- Ability to work with building professional in various levels.
- Excellent communication skills dealing with various groups of clients
- Proven work history with positive references

Pay: $42,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
