Experienced CNC Operator – Stone Countertop Fabrication
Gorilla Stone is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to operate and maintain our Poseidon Industries T-Rex CNC machine and support our growing countertop fabrication operation.
We are looking for someone who is more than a basic machine operator. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with CNC equipment and preferably in the stone, granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, or countertop fabrication industry. This person should be capable of independently setting up jobs, operating equipment, recognizing problems, and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who understands CNC equipment, tooling, precision fabrication, machine operation, and production flow.
Bilingual English and Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor our Poseidon Industries T-Rex CNC machine
- Safely load, position, and secure quartz, granite, marble, porcelain, and other countertop materials
- Run CNC programs accurately and efficiently
- Perform sink cutouts, edge profiles, polishing, drilling, and other programmed fabrication operations
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot operational, mechanical, tooling, vacuum, water, pneumatic, and programming issues when possible
- Identify problems quickly and take appropriate action to minimize machine downtime
- Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on the CNC equipment
- Inspect, maintain, and replace worn or damaged CNC tooling
- Help minimize material waste, tooling damage, machine downtime, and production delays
- Work closely with the fabrication, templating, and installation teams to maintain production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company and equipment safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Previous CNC operating experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to independently identify and resolve common machine, tooling, and production issues
- Ability to read measurements and work with precision
- Understanding of CNC tooling and machining operations
- Ability to work independently and manage production priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to safely work around heavy stone slabs and fabrication equipment
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in stone or countertop fabrication
- Experience working with granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, sintered stone, or similar materials
- Previous experience with a Poseidon Industries T-Rex or similar stone CNC machine
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
- Ability to modify or create CNC programs
- Experience with countertop fabrication software
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and basic machine repairs
- Ability to communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking team members
- Bilingual English and Spanish preffered

Pay: $26.00–$29.00 per hour, based on experience, stone fabrication knowledge, CNC programming ability, and troubleshooting skills.
