- Pay Range: $20.72-$26.70/hour
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
About the Role
Join the Bioreactor Support team at Unity Lab Services supporting biotech customers through bioreactor assembly, maintenance, sterilization, documentation, calibration, and equipment tracking activities.
What You’ll Do
- Utilize tools for reactor assembly and maintenance.
- Perform tube maintenance and assembly tasks.
- Conduct advanced reactor part assembly and modifications to meet customer requests.
- Operate autoclave and rinse equipment for sterilization.
- Execute basic reactor part assembly and advanced autoclave usage for built reactors.
- Disburse reactor parts and ensure proper ergonomic tool use.
- Apply basic pressure-testing knowledge in a sterile environment.
- Maintain records using Good Documentation Practices and capture metrics for completed work.
- Perform instrument verifications and calibrations following customer and manufacturer protocols.
- Track calibration schedules, work orders, and equipment status using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Participate in projects, cost-savings analyses, learning groups, training documentation, and team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Laboratory environment working with hazardous/toxic materials.
- PPE required and may include safety glasses, gloves, gowning, lab coats, facemasks, coveralls, ear plugs, and steel-toe shoes.
- Regularly lift 30-40 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Frequent standing, walking, and material handling of chemical containers, sometimes in varied temperature environments.
- Primarily works independently at customer sites.
- Overtime may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and any required customer screening, credentialing, or badging requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly/maintenance experience preferred.
- Bioreactor experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Safety-focused approach to work.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
