Full job description
Job Summary
The General Worker position will be responsible for executing various tasks within the company, ranging from cleaning and maintaining work areas, performing manual labour tasks, following safety procedures and regulations. This position also requires strong knowledge of general labour principles, practices, and regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines related to the company’s operations.
Responsibilities
– Conduct various tasks to support the company’s operations in the warehouse
– Assist with offloading / delivering the materials to complete projects on time.
– Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
– Perform manual labour tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy objects.
– Operate machinery and equipment as needed.
– Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
– Perform general errands and maintain inventories of supplies / equipment
– Carry out other instructions given by your superior
Requirements
– Proven experience as a general worker or in a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of general labour principles, practices, and regulations.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong organizational and time management skills.
– Well presented
– Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
– Fluent in Afrikaans, English
– Must have Grade 12
– Positive and energetic
– Friendly
– Self-motivated
– Trustworthy
