Join our dynamic team as a Carpet Technician in UT County! This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about construction, remodeling, and flooring installation. As a Carpet Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpet and flooring solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential projects, utilizing your construction and woodworking skills to transform spaces into beautiful, functional environments.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace carpets, flooring, and related materials in residential settings using hand tools and power tools for woodworking and flooring installation.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials such as caulking or stucco to ensure proper flooring adhesion.
- Operate woodworking machines and power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols for power tool safety.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as wood construction materials, siding, rebar, or fixtures to facilitate efficient project completion.
- Assist with remodeling projects involving framing, metal stud framing, plastering, rebar installation, or mold remediation as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, carpentry, woodworking or residential carpentry projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, fixture installation, siding or flooring installation.
- Familiarity with woodworking machines and metal stud framing techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
- Previous experience in restoration industry work or handyman tasks is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
