MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To oversee the technical team and manage, improve and optimise the technical operations within the facility. To act as the management representative for Quality Management System and Occupational Health Safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Manage the Technical Operations of the Hospital
Manage and support Technical Projects within the Hospital
Manage and mitigateTechnical Operations risk within the Hospital
Oversee the management and maintenance of building and equipment
Oversee and manage on-site contractors in Hospital
Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations
Lead and manage the people in the Technical team
Manage and control department budget / finances
Required Education
Essential education: N6, S4, T4 with Mechanical or Electrical
Desired education: N6, S4, T4 with Mechanical or Electrical (thermodynamics; electro engineering)
Required Experience
Essential minimum experience : Minimum of 10 – 12 years relevant experience with a minimum of 4 – 6 years experience within a hospital environment with a N6, S4 or T4 qualification ( NQF level 6). or passed MCC oral evaluation by general Manager Technical operations
Desired experience: 12 yrs relevant experience with a minimum of 6 years experience within a hospital environment with a N6, S4 or T4 qualification
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
Appointed as competent person as defined in paragraph (a) as per General Machinery Regulations of 1998 (OHS Act 85 of 1993)
Manage the Technical Operations of the facility
Manage and support Technical Projects within the facility
Manage and mitigate Engineering risk within the facility
Oversee the repairs and maintenance of building and equipment
Oversee and manage on-site contractors
Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations
Lead and manage the Technical team
Advice on appropriate engineering solutions
Manage and control department budget / finances
Sustainability and plant management
