Technical Lead – National Hackathons & Innovation Competitions Jobs in Bloemfontein at Fossa Technologies
We are hiring a seasoned Project Technical Lead to oversee all technical aspects of the National Skills Competitions from digital platforms to hackathon facilitation. The ideal candidate is passionate about emerging technologies and has hands-on experience leading developer and innovation teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead design, facilitation, and technical evaluation of hackathons across all provinces
Guide project teams working on software, robotics, IoT, AI, and more
Ensure technical standardization and mentor engagement
Set up systems for data collection, analysis, and secure storage
Collaborate with event coordinators to manage tools and infrastructure (e.g., networks, dev kits, platforms)
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience in facilitating or leading hackathons, coding competitions, or similar technical programs
Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a vendor certification in a relevant 4IR field (e.g., AWS, Cisco, Microsoft)
Strong mentorship and presentation skills
Advanced proficiency in at least 3 of the following: AI/ML, IoT, Cybersecurity, AR/VR, Robotics, Software Development, Blockchain
Preferred:
Familiarity with cloud platforms, GitHub, low-code platforms, or rapid prototyping tools
