Division 7 is currently hiring a Commercial Roofer to join our team! D7 is a progressive and successful family business, based in Riverside, CA., with projects throughout LA, OC, IE, and San Diego County. We specialize in the fabrication and installation of architectural sheet metal, siding, metal cladding and single ply roofing for commercial projects.
Primary Responsibility and Qualification:
We are looking for people who are reliable and can produce quality work. The right candidate is experienced in commercial roofing (single ply, tile, and BUR) and willing to cross train in sheet metal as applicable.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, repairing or replacing TPO roofing systems
- Installing, repairing or replacing Tile roofing systems
- Applying waterproof coatings to surfaces
- Installing and repairing metal roofs using hand and power tools
- Safely perform single-ply roofing work, including membrane installation, flashing, adhesives, hot-air welding, and material handling
- Make sure that all repairs are watertight
- Safely operate or work around lifts, hoists, power tools, and other roofing equipment
- Prepare and clean up job sites
Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of building materials, hand tools, power tools, lift equipment, and other machines
- Proven commercial roofing experience
- Comfortable with heights
- Consistently focused on workplace safety
- Proficient in reading blueprints and performing basic measurements
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must have reliable transportation to report to job sites
- Must have basic hand tools to perform the work of your trade
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Additional requirements:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and occasionally carrying 50lbs. Job requires working inside and outside in environments that present occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, as well as at heights in excess of 10 feet.
Must have references and proven past work history record. This position typically works from 7am to 3:30pm 8-hour shift with occasional overtime. Working year-round and thrive on teamwork, safety, respect, and continuous improvement.
