Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Wassaic, NY.
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing, processing, and verifying outbound shipments to ensure products are shipped accurately, efficiently, and to the correct customer. This position serves as an important final checkpoint before product leaves our facility, so strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with shipping software, measurements, weights, labels, customer information, and shipping documentation and will consistently verify information before releasing a shipment.
Responsibilities
- Process daily outbound shipments using FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and other shipping systems
- Verify customer names, ship-to addresses, order information, shipping methods, and special instructions before processing shipments
- Accurately enter and verify carton and pallet dimensions, weights, quantities, and package counts
- Confirm that the correct product and quantity are being shipped to the correct customer and destination
- Compare products and shipment information against customer orders and shipping documentation before release
- Prepare, print, and apply shipping labels to pallets, cartons, and packages
- Review shipping labels and documentation for accuracy before shipments leave the facility
- Identify incomplete, inconsistent, or questionable shipment information and obtain clarification before proceeding
- Move finished product from production areas to the shipping department
- Organize and stage outbound shipments
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
- Communicate with production, customer service, sales, and other departments to resolve shipping questions or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area
- Assist with other shipping, receiving, and warehouse responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, labels, safety instructions, and written work instructions in English, and to communicate effectively in English as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work accurately
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to accurately read and verify measurements, dimensions, weights, quantities, addresses, and shipping information
- Ability to perform basic math necessary for shipping functions
- Previous shipping, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and/or UPS WorldShip preferred
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Ability to follow established shipping and verification procedures
- Ability to identify incomplete or inconsistent information and obtain clarification before processing a shipment
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance consistent with the requirements of the position
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
