Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Scale House Attendant. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers entering the facility. Responsibilities include estimating quantities of incoming loads, inspecting for restricted or fee-based items, and ensuring accurate transactions. No prior experience in these tasks is required. Thorough on-the-job training will be provided to ensure you’re comfortable and confident in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Inspect loads for prohibited materials and items requiring additional charges
- Process payments and issue receipts with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Use basic computer systems for data entry and transaction tracking
- Uphold safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- High attention to detail, especially when handling cash
- Applicants will be asked to complete a physical examination and drug test, at no cost to them.
- Must be able to walk across large areas of the facility multiple times per day, including on uneven surfaces or outdoors as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the workday Saturday availability required
Due to the nature of our operations, especially during the winter months, employees must be available for flexible scheduling in the event of snowstorms or inclement weather. This may include reporting to work earlier, staying later, or occasionally working on a Sunday to assist with snow removal and ensure the facility remains safe and accessible.

Schedule
- Day shift, with a required daily arrival time of 7:15 AM
- Tuesday-Saturday work schedule with Sunday & Monday off each week
- Saturday availability is required
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This is a physically active role that takes place in an outdoor environment. The job involves frequent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing or walking for extended periods. Some lifting may involve awkward positions. Work is regularly performed outdoors in all types of weather, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind. The role may also involve exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, dust, and occasional contact with chemicals or fumes. Safety gear and training will be provided as needed.
