Instrumentation Technician — Food Processing (36432) Jobs in Walworth, WI at Activ8 Recruitment and Solutions
An international producer of commercial food products in the Walworth, WI area is looking for an Instrumentation Technician. The ideal candidate will have prior experience maintaining electrical and process controls equipment in a high demand environment and be able to ensure that facility equipment keeps up with customer production, quality, and safety requirements. This is a direct-hire position and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Instrumentation Technician Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and rebuild electrical and Process Control Systems
· Communicate with other departments to determine maintenance needs and perform maintenance as needed for optimal production
· Perform Preventive Maintenance as needed to ensure plant functions continue with minimal disruptions
· Program and maintain Variable Frequency Drives, PLC systems, and other mechanical, electrical, equipment
· Assist with matters related to ISO/HACCP/GMP/SQF standards and regulations
· File any necessary reports or other paperwork in a timely manner
· Aid in the training of maintenance associates
· Install and upgrade electrical and mechanical systems onsite as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Instrumentation Technician Qualifications:
· Minimum 4 years of experience with PCS, PLC, HMI, VFDs, and related components in a production environment
· Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
· Experience with operation and maintenance electrical systems, PCS systems, sensors, and other automated production systems
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other design documents
· Previous experience in food production environment a plus
· Must be flexible to work off-shifts as needed
· This position includes work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $36.00 – $44.00 per hour
