Full Job Description
To actively sell and promote KCarrim tile products and related items to customers in-store, ensuring excellent customer service, accurate advice, and a positive shopping experience, while achieving sales targets and maintaining the company’s brand image.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide expert advice on tile products, pricing, stock availability, and product care.
Process customer orders, quotes, and invoices accurately through the system.
Upsell and recommend complementary products to increase sales value.
Ensure displays are neat, clean, fully stocked, and accurately priced.
Follow up on customer queries, orders, and special requests timeously.
Meet and exceed individual and branch sales targets.
Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date with new stock and promotions.
Build lasting relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and efficiently.
Adhere to company SOPs, health & safety, and merchandising standards.
Assist in stock counts and housekeeping of the sales floor.
Promote and encourage customers to leave positive Google Reviews and feedback.
Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric certificate
Minimum 2 years’ retail sales experience, preferably in a tile or building supply environment.
Strong product knowledge in tiling, adhesives, and hardware an advantage.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Target-driven with good sales negotiation abilities.
Computer literate (MS Office & Point-of-Sale systems).
Reliable, well-presented, and able to work retail trading hours (including weekends and public holidays).
