Avid Care is currently seeking a House Coordinator for one of our residential sites.
Open Roles (1):
- 40 Total Hours – 1PM- 9 PM (Monday – Friday) 1pm-8pm (Tuesdays) 8am-5pm (Wednesdays) (Female house in Verona) $20/hr
- 40 hours- Monday – Friday 130pm-930pm (Penn Hills) $20/hr
- 40 hours- Monday – Friday 8am-4pm (Penn Hills) $23/hr
The roles and responsibilities of the House Coordinator include but not limited to the following:
- Provide individualized care, implement activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living areas to foster maximum independence of the individual
- Assist with chores necessary to maintain as normal a living environment as possible, (i.e., laundry and housekeeping)
- Assist/Attend required in-service trainings
- Observe the individuals’ behaviors and changes in physical conditions, and report accurately
- Oversee and ensure staff maintain documentation of individual records
- Offer input toward Individual Support Planning (ISP)
- Maintain inventory of individuals’ personal belongings and funds
- Assist with scheduling of open shifts and being available to work if shift can not be filed
- Maintain professional, effective communication with other agency personnel, individual families, and outside contacts
- Identifying and recognizing the needs of the individuals (e.g. meal planning, laundry, house cleaning, etc.)
- Mitigate behaviors to ensure the health and safety of the individual
- Ensure staff complete daily tasks based on assignment
- Report all risks and issues to upper management providing innovative solutions for mitigation
- Manage/schedule appointments for clients
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years experience working directly with individuals with development disabilities
- Able to assist in lifting individuals of various weights
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and insurance
- Access to personal vehicle
