Duties
- Prepare concrete forms, rebar installations, and reinforcement to ensure structural integrity before pouring.
- Finish concrete surfaces by screeding, troweling, floating, and edging to achieve smooth textures or specified patterns.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards; coordinate with team members for efficient workflow.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when required for large-scale pours or material handling.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment operation, and construction materials used in concrete finishing.
- Knowledge of concrete forming systems and concrete pouring operations for efficient workflow management.
- Ability to operate power tools including hand tools like trowels and floats as well as larger machinery safely.
- Experience working on residential construction sites with a focus on driveway installation and replacement.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards at all times.
