The Remuneration and Benefits manager will be responsible for the following:

Preparation and processing of the monthly payroll.

Ensure benefits are reconciled monthly and payments made upon due date.

Review Liberty Life Provident Fund in terms of investments and make appropriate recommendations.

Forecast salaries (budget vs actual) six monthly undertaken in July and undertaken in Sept in preparation of budgets.

Compile salaries budget.

Prepare BC remuneration increase schedules (including market salary comparisons) (Jun).

Required to supervise the Payroll Officer ensuring that the monthly payroll is processed with 100% accuracy and respective journals, reconciliations, statutory payments and third-party payments are reconciled and completed timeously. Ensure all clearing accounts are balanced monthly. Ensure that all payroll administration is completed timeously (Provident Fund Membership and Withdrawals, Medical Aid Membership and Withdrawals, PAYE reconciliations and submissions).

Quarterly Line Management Reporting (Leave, O/Time, T&A).

Employee queries undertaken within 24 hours of receipt. Employee queries could be related to payroll / benefits.

Required to supervise the Payroll Officer ensuring that the monthly Leave Control and T&A is undertaken effectively and accurately across the organisation.

The Remuneration & Benefits Manager position is also responsible for the services for Head Office. In conjunction with the Human Resources Manager, is responsible for compiling the annual SERVICES BUDGETS and managing the respective budgets in accordance with final approved budgets and ensuring that quarterly deviations are justified and controlled.

Responsible for identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives.

Tender and outsource all cleaning services throughout the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the role:

Must be able to manage a team.

The role is fully on-site, in which the candidate will be based at the head office.

The preferred candidate must have up to 7 years’ remuneration experience.

They must have sound payroll experience.

Must be strong with job grading and budgeting.

Have Africa experience specifically in SADAC.

The candidate must be comfortable with systems similar to Sage or Payspace (preferred).
