Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bookings and Operations of System (HotSoft)
Collection of payments from guests.
Bookings of guests in / out on HotSoft.
Ensure rooms cards is returned from guests.
Telephone etiquette.
Assistance with debtors.
Administration and Financial Control
Daily balancing of cash and card payments.
Keep to audit guidelines.
Assistance with queries from guests.
Correspondence with guests.
Filing of reception documentation according to File Plan.
Staff Control
In-house training.
Ad Hoc and relief services
Execution of all fair ad hoc assignments and relief services as required from time to time.
Pesonal Development
By attending relevant courses, keeping abreast of new ideas and development in the field as well as keeping abreast of expansions and development at the NWU.
Key Functional/ Technical Competencies
Experience in administrative management.
Must be willing to work shifts and on weekends.
Handling of cash, credit / debit cards as well as debtor transactions.
Must be computer literate in MS Office, email and the internet.
Experience in handling telephone system, as well as the necessary telephone etiquette associated with it.
Be able to manage good office organization and procedures.
Must function independently or as part of a team.

Must be able to function independently and under pressure.
Good communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
Be able to handle problems effectively and professionally.
Always maintain a professional image.
Be self-motivated with sound judgement.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
A minimum of one (1) year experience in hospitality reception.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in hotel reservations systems.
Remuneration
The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
