Do you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food? Guido’s is looking for a dependable Produce Prep Associate to join our team. This is a behind-the-scenes position focused on preparing fresh-cut fruit and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient prep area.

The ideal candidate is comfortable using a knife, working in cool or chilled conditions, and staying productive during early-morning shifts. General knowledge of fruits and vegetables is a bonus, but we’re happy to train someone who is reliable, attentive, and willing to learn.

Schedule: This is a full-time, year-round position. Shifts begin between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. and typically end between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. The position averages 35–40 hours per week, depending on the season. Weekend availability is required.

Pay: $16.00–$17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare fresh fruit.
• Portion, package, label, and date prepared products.
• Check fruits and other ingredients for quality and freshness.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
• Safely and comfortably use knives and other approved prep tools.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized preparation area.
• Stock and organize ingredients, packaging, and other prep supplies.
• Communicate clearly and work cooperatively with other team members.
• Complete prep work accurately and efficiently.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Stand for approximately 6–8 hours during a typical shift.
• Frequently lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work comfortably in cool and chilled conditions.
• Safely use knives and other food-preparation equipment.

Requirements & Experience:

• Comfortable using a knife and preparing fresh fruit.
• Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work.
• Able to work early mornings and weekends.
• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• General knowledge of fruits and vegetables is a plus.
• Prior food preparation, kitchen, grocery, or produce experience is preferred but not required.
