Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain optimal water quality.
- Conduct regular water testing and adjust chemical levels to ensure safety and compliance with health standards.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment such as pumps, filters, chlorinators, and heaters; perform repairs or coordinate repairs with service technicians.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to carry out maintenance tasks on pool systems and related equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical treatments, repairs, and inspections for each pool.
- Follow all safety protocols during maintenance activities to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures for pools as needed.
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or as a service technician is preferred; familiarity with pool cleaning techniques is essential.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized pool maintenance equipment confidently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping.
- Knowledge of chemical balancing, water chemistry testing methods, and safety procedures related to pool operations.
- Valid certification as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work that involves lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
