Duties
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food prep tools safely and efficiently
- Cook pizzas using various techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and baking to achieve optimal flavor and presentation
- Maintain strict food safety protocols by adhering to sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and hygiene standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or seasonal specials based on culinary trends and customer preferences
- Ensure consistent recipe adherence and portion control during food production to maintain quality and cost efficiency
- Support the team in high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining a clean and organized workstation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining or high-volume kitchens
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety management
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely
- Experience with dietary aide tasks such as dietary department experience or catering experience is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while demonstrating creativity in meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
- Prior experience in menu planning or food production roles is highly desirable
