Minimum Requirements
Grade (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification; A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support service to management/ senior management.
Recommendation
A proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in executive support and a solid grasp of public service protocols.
Key Performance Areas
Provide comprehensive secretarial and receptionist support to the Director, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and handling incoming communications;
Render efficient administrative support services, such as document
preparation, filing, and office coordination;
Coordinate and support meetings for the Director by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up on action items;
Assist with budget administration, including tracking expenditure, processing financial documentation, and supporting financial planning activities;
Study and apply relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts, policies, and procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation in all administrative functions.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following:
Basic financial administration;
Procurement of goods and services;
Analyse documents and situations. Skills in the following:
Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Communication skills (written and verbal);
Planning and Organising;
Time management skills (workshops, conferences);
Ability to work under pressure;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
