Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time candidate in our Post Falls Clinic to perform a number of duties including greeting and scheduling patients, answering and routing calls, data entry and insurance verifications. This position requires a significant amount of multitasking and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately. A team mentality with a willingness to help wherever needed is a must, as well as being highly reliable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Ability to navigate multi-line phone system.
- Accurate data entry skill set.
- Cash handling experience.
- Intricate understanding of provider and patient scheduling.
- Insurance verification and assistance with information regarding referrals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, (EHR a plus).
- Self-motivated with a team attitude.
- Detail orientated.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Welcoming personality and ability to obtain information from patients efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answer multi-line phones, either directing calls or handling caller’s needs.
- Greet patients upon arrival and complete appropriate documents while obtaining insurance information
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
- Data-entry into EHR
- Process payments from patients for copay, co-insurance and un-insured visits
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on availability
- Verification of insurance and the ability to communicate with patients this information
- Ability to create a new medical record and assist with file organization
- Handling of standard opening and closing procedures
- Flexibility to be used wherever needed
- Proper handling of protected health information
Qualifications and Skills
Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
