Painter/Sandblaster for Heavy Equipment Jobs in Chesapeake, VA at GeoQuip, Inc.
GeoQuip, Inc. is seeking a skilled metal equipment painter and sandblaster for heavy equipment at our headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. You will be painting huge metal pile driving equipment.
Candidates with auto body painting and/or heavy equipment painting experience are highly desired. House painting experience is insufficient experience for this job.
This is a fast-paced job working outdoors.
Shift is 7 am to 4:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break: minimum of 42.5 hours per week with other overtime opportunities.
We require experience with prep work, sanding and bondo work on heavy metal equipment. We PREFER but don’t require sandblasting experience as well. This position is not a good fit for painters who’ve mostly worked in shipyards.

We seek someone reliable with great attention to detail.
We lease, sell and repair large, heavy pile driving equipment. Cranes and forklifts are needed to move this equipment.

Forklift or crane certification is desirable but not mandatory.
