Snow and Ice Management Company of PA (SIMCO) is hiring a hands-on Operations & Maintenance Technician to support our operations, equipment, vehicles, and properties. This is a variety-driven role where no two days look the same. If you are mechanically inclined, dependable, and happy to pitch in wherever needed, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Support daily business operations and special projects as assigned
- Perform general property maintenance, repairs, and handyman tasks
- Conduct basic maintenance and inspections of vehicles and snow equipment
- Assist with snow removal operations, site preparation, and storm response
- Complete deliveries, pick up supplies, and transport materials
- Keep company properties, shop and yard areas, and equipment clean and organized
- Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and seasonal property work
- Report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns to management
- Provide regular updates on assigned projects and tasks
What we’re looking for:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with common hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision
- Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible
- Experience with property maintenance, landscaping, construction, equipment operation, or snow removal preferred
Physical requirements:
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
Important seasonal note: During the winter season, this role requires availability before, during, and after snow events, including overnight, extended-hour, weekend, and holiday work as business demands require. Occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays may be needed.
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Application Question(s):
- This role requires working through the night and in some cases across multiple consecutive days and nights during storm events from October through April. This is not a traditional on-call role, sustained, active engagement is required for the full duration of every storm cycle including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Can you fully commit to this requirement?
