Job Summary
The multi skilled operator safely operates production equipment and performs basic manufacturing processes to produce wire products that meet company quality standards and customer requirements. Works under close supervision while learning equipment, processes, and quality standards.
Work Schedule
First Shift: M-F 6am – 2pm
Second Shift: M-Th 2pm – 12am
Pay
First shift: starting at $19.00/hr
Second shift: starting at $19.75/hr
Essential Job Functions
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
- Select required materials, tools, and equipment for assigned tasks.
- Operate production equipment after training and any required certification.
- Read and follow work instructions, travelers requirements, and basic blueprints.
- Perform product finishing activities such as sanding, trimming, flashing removal, and cutting.
- Conduct basic visual inspections and document required quality checks.
- Use basic measuring tools such as tape measures, gauges, and calipers.
- Record production quantities and labor hours accurately.
- Report equipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to leadership.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Assist with material movement using approved equipment and methods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Ability to learn manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality standards.
- Ability to read basic work instructions and measurements.

Supervision Received
Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions on assignments. Work is frequently reviewed for accuracy and quality.
Work Environment
While performing the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud repetitive equipment. Work is performed indoors in an non-climate controlled industrial environment, with occasional extreme temperature conditions. Proper PPE is to be worn, and safety procedures are to be followed at all times.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of the job. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, have good dexterity utilizing their arms, hands, and fingers, the ability to communicate clearly with co-workers, and the ability to hear and smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
