Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on industrial millwright experience and be skilled in installing, maintaining, repairing, aligning, and troubleshooting industrial machinery and equipment.
This is a hands-on position requiring mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently at customer and job sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Perform mechanical equipment installation and equipment moves
- Align motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and other rotating equipment
- Perform precision shaft and coupling alignment
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify causes of equipment failures
- Install and repair conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and related equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Perform rigging, lifting, and positioning of heavy equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and alignment tools
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Assist with equipment installation, modification, and relocation projects
- Travel to customer and job sites throughout Western Pennsylvania
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
- Work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial millwright experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience with rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and industrial machinery
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Experience with precision alignment preferred
- Rigging and crane/hoist experience preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to safely lift, move, and work around heavy industrial equipment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Western Pennsylvania
- Ability to work overtime
Compensation & Benefits
- $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience
