Meat Cutter Jobs in Somerset, KY at Aw Labor Solutions
We are currently recruiting candidates from London, KY and surrounding communities for full-time Meat Cutter / Deboner positions at a beef production facility located in Laurel Green, Kentucky.
Important: This position is NOT located in London. The worksite is in Laurel Green, KY. Candidates must be willing and able to commute to the worksite or relocate closer to the facility. Transportation to and from work is not provided.
We are looking for candidates with previous professional experience in meat cutting, beef deboning, butchering, slaughterhouse operations, or meat processing who are comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding production environment.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting pay: $17.00/hour
- Pay after 90 days: $18.00/hour
- Schedule: 5–6 days per week
- Some Saturdays may be required
- Full-time position with consistent hours
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and debone beef using knives and specialized cutting tools.
- Process beef carcasses according to production requirements.
- Follow established cutting and deboning procedures to maximize product yield.
- Remove excess fat, bones, and other unwanted material.
- Prepare meat cuts accurately and consistently according to quality standards.
- Maintain and properly sharpen knives and cutting tools.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Meet established production and quality standards.
- Work effectively as part of a production team.
Requirements
- Previous professional meat-cutting or deboning experience is required.
- Experience in beef processing, meatpacking, slaughterhouse operations, butcher shops, or similar environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of professional meat-cutting techniques.
- Ability to safely use knives and other meat-processing equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in cold environments of approximately 34°F–40°F (1°C–4°C).
- English is not required.
- No specific education level is required.
- Driver’s license is not required; however, candidates are responsible for arranging reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Pay Increase
- Starting wage of $17.00/hour.
- Wage increases to $18.00/hour after 90 days.
