Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of facilities and equipment maintenance within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and facilities management. As Maintenance Director, you will lead and manage maintenance teams, develop strategic maintenance plans, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize operational efficiency. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, reliable, and high-performing environment that supports organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and high/low voltage systems.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical and electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry standards related to industrial maintenance and facilities management.
- Coordinate projects involving HVAC system repair, electrical upgrades, plumbing system maintenance, and other infrastructure improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and tools; manage procurement processes to ensure timely availability of necessary components.
- Promote a safe work environment by conducting safety training sessions and enforcing safety regulations across all maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven management experience overseeing large-scale facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective maintenance management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and best practices for industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, planning, and communication purposes.
- Supervising experience in managing facilities or maintenance teams within an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
