Title: Logistics and Supply Chain Manager

Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

Duties:
Â
1.     Purchase raw material & packaging material
2.     Maintain optimal stock levels, forecasting demand, and minimizing waste
3.     Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of raw materials to ensure a continuous material supply to meet
production requirements.
4.     Coordinate the scheduling of production activities to ensure a continuous material supply to meet customer call offs.
5.     Regular interaction with clients to determine current and future requirements
6.     Assist the CFO in supplier account reconciliations and payables.
7.     Maintain client and internal department’s relationshipsÂ
8.     Initiate and manage projects and product changes
9.Provide detailed information and reports to the directors of the company as and when required.
10.Keep abreast of market changes that affect the supply chain process

Requirements:
 Qualifications & Training:
Required: NQF Level 7 Degree/ Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
Ideal: NQF Level 8 Hons Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Â
Experience:
Previous experience in Logistics and Supply Chain
o  Min. 5 years process planning within an automotive environment.
o  Min. 5 years’ time management and motion study.
o  Min. 2 years tool and jig manufacturing.
o  Proven track record in project management and client growth.
o  Min. 5 years Manufacturing, assembly and press shop environment.
o  Min. 5 years procurement or sales experience

Production and Processing
Sound knowledge of relevant legislations
Project management
Understanding of quality system
Understanding customs processes and inco-terms
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational and time management skills
Leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
Excellent computer literacy.
