Sprinkler Medics of Austin is looking for an experienced, licensed irrigator to lead a new install crew and support our repair team when install work is lighter.
About the Role
You’ll run point on new irrigation system installs — leading a crew, managing job-site quality, and making sure work gets done right the first time. When install demand is lower, you’ll work alongside our repair technicians on service calls. This isn’t a seasonal gig — it’s steady, year-round work with the type of work shifting based on what the business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a crew on new irrigation installs from start to finish
- Read and execute irrigation designs accurately
- Ensure code compliance and backflow prevention standards are met
- Train and direct crew members (including in-house helpers) on install best practices
- Step into repair/service technician work during slower install periods
- Maintain quality and safety standards on every job site
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Active Texas Irrigator License (required)
- Solid hands-on experience with irrigation installation — not just repair
- Comfortable leading a crew and holding people accountable to a standard
- Reliable, shows up, communicates when plans change
- Experience with Austin-area soil conditions and water restrictions is a plus
- Backflow certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
