Stanley Steemer is looking for an experienced and dependable Lead Water Restoration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in water restoration, mitigation, or a related field and is comfortable taking the lead on jobs while providing excellent service to our customers.
WRT and ASD certifications are preferred, but not required. We value practical, hands-on experience and are willing to consider candidates who have restoration experience but do not yet hold these certifications.
Responsibilities
- Respond to water damage and emergency restoration calls
- Perform water extraction and mitigation services
- Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment
- Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials as needed
- Operate power tools and other restoration equipment safely
- Work directly with customers and provide professional, courteous service
- Follow insurance guidelines, industry standards, and company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Supervise and direct other crew members on job sites
- Communicate job progress and conditions to management and customers
- Complete required job documentation accurately
- Respond to after-hours and emergency calls as needed
- Perform other restoration-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in water restoration, mitigation, construction, demolition, or a related field preferred
- WRT and ASD certifications preferred
- Experience operating power tools and restoration equipment
- Ability to work independently and lead a crew
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations
- Must be dependable, professional, and willing to work as part of a team
- Restoration experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry heavy furniture, equipment, building materials, and debris
- Perform demolition and manual labor for extended periods
- Bend, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, and work in confined or difficult areas
- Work in wet, dirty, hot, cold, and occasionally uncomfortable environments
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends as needed
- On-call and after-hours emergency response as needed
- Schedule may vary depending on emergency restoration calls
Pay
$20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
