Lead Painter Jobs in Linthicum Heights, MD at Superior SoftWash
Superior SoftWash is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Lead Painter who takes pride in their craft, knows how to produce professional results, and is ready for the opportunity to lead.
This is not a subcontractor or 1099 position. You will be a full-time employee of Superior SoftWash and part of a growing home-service company that believes great people should have the opportunity to build careers, increase their income, and advance into leadership.
Our painting division currently performs a significant amount of deck and fence painting and staining, along with other exterior and interior painting projects.
We’re looking for someone who already knows how to paint. We can teach you the Superior way, but we’re not looking to teach someone the painting trade from scratch.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Lead Painter, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality work while helping lead jobs from preparation through final inspection.
Your work may include:
- Deck and fence staining and painting
- Interior painting
- Exterior painting
- Wood staining and sealing
- Surface preparation, scraping, sanding, and masking
- Brush, roller, and sprayer application
- Protecting landscaping, furnishings, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces
- Maintaining an organized and professional jobsite
- Inspecting completed work for quality
- Communicating professionally with homeowners
- Directing and working alongside other painters
- Keeping projects moving efficiently and on schedule
- Maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has professional interior and exterior painting experience
- Has experience staining decks, fences, and other wood surfaces
- Understands proper preparation—not just paint application
- Can confidently use brushes, rollers, and professional painting equipment
- Produces clean lines and professional finishes
- Understands masking, protection, cleanup, and jobsite organization
- Can identify and correct quality issues before the customer finds them
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Can lead another painter or small crew
- Communicates professionally with customers and teammates
- Shows up on time and ready to work
- Takes accountability for the finished product
Previous crew-lead, foreman, or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
- Professional painting experience
- Interior and exterior painting experience
- Deck/fence staining experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential painting
- Comfortable working from ladders and at heights
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to our Linthicum Heights facility
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Authorized to work in the United States
EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time W-2 employee position with Superior SoftWash.
This is NOT a subcontractor or 1099 position.
