Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Lead MRI Technologist, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services. This energetic position offers the opportunity to lead a team of MRI technologists, oversee complex imaging procedures, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care. You will utilize your expertise in MRI technology and medical imaging to support accurate diagnoses and enhance patient outcomes. Shift is Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily MRI department operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality imaging services
- Lead the setup, calibration, and operation of MRI scanners and related medical equipment to acquire precise diagnostic images
- Oversee patient preparation, including IV insertion, vascular access, and positioning to optimize image quality and patient comfort
- Ensure strict adherence to equipment safety procedures, radiation safety regulations, and aseptic techniques during imaging procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of imaging procedures within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval
- Provide mentorship and training to junior technologists on advanced imaging techniques, anatomy knowledge, and patient care protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and anatomy knowledge
- Certification or licensure in radiologic technology or relevant field; additional certifications in MRI preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, radiology protocols, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions safely and efficiently while maintaining patient safety standards
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as Vascular Access or specialized MRI training are advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures while ensuring their safety and comfort

Pay: $37.73 – $45.44 per hour
