Overview
Join the client as a Lead Estimator and help drive strategic growth through complex Public & Federal Hard-Bid construction projects valued from $2.5M to $70M. You will lead estimating activities, evaluate bid packages, expand the project pipeline, and work closely with leadership, subcontractors, architects, owners, and managers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional construction estimating experience
- Proven experience with Public and Federal Hard-Bid projects valued between $2.5M and $70M
- Advanced proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Established relationships with trade subcontractors, owners, and architects in the Chicago market preferred
- Expertise in developing comprehensive subcontractor bid packages and trade scope sheets preferred
- No mandatory licenses or certifications required
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive bid administration, including plan reviews, material take-offs, and trade scope reviews
- Monitor government pipeline databases such as SAM and GovTribe for federal pursuit opportunities
- Engage subcontractors and supply houses to secure complete bid-day coverage
- Perform bid-day analyses and integrate value-engineering solutions into proposals
- Maintain follow-up with architects, owners, and managers to close business
- Execute seamless 24-hour project turnovers to Project Management upon contract award
