Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead (Chinese) for the 4PM to 12AM shift to oversee food production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is vital in ensuring that all processes adhere to strict food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance protocols. As a leader on the production floor, you will manage teams, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and product quality. Your expertise in food processing, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory standards will be instrumental in maintaining a compliant and safe manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Lead and supervise production teams during the evening shift, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
- Enforce compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory standards related to food safety and quality.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to uphold quality standards in production, including packaging, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams using SAP or similar systems for inventory management, production planning, and documentation accuracy.
- Conduct regular safety audits, sanitation checks, and ensure all team members follow safety standards in production environments.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies by analyzing process data, identifying inefficiencies, and leading corrective actions.
- Manage communication with team members effectively, providing managerial guidance, training on GMP practices, and fostering a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production or manufacturing management within the food & beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety management systems.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for production tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively within a food processing plant environment.
- Excellent understanding of food processing techniques, packaging procedures, sanitation practices, and safety standards in production.
- Basic math skills for data analysis and process calculations.
- Strong managerial communication skills to lead teams and ensure compliance with regulatory/legal standards.
- Prior experience in managing production or assembly teams with a focus on quality assurance within the food industry is highly desirable.
