Greystone Design + Build is hiring an experienced Bathroom Remodeling Technician / Multi-Trade Carpenter to join our residential remodeling team.
We are looking for a well-rounded tradesperson who can independently handle the wide range of carpentry, finish work, installation, repair, and punch-list items that come up during bathroom renovations.
This is not an entry-level handyman position.
We are looking for someone who understands residential remodeling, takes pride in their work, can solve problems in the field, and can be trusted to professionally represent Greystone Design + Build inside our clients’ homes.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities may include:
- Interior framing and minor wall modifications
- Adding blocking for shower glass, grab bars, vanities, benches, mirrors, and accessories
- Drywall installation and repair
- Plastering, patching, sanding, and wall preparation
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Installing bathroom vanities
- Installing and mounting mirrors and medicine cabinets
- Setting and installing toilets
- Installing bathroom exhaust fans
- Replacing switches, outlets, fixtures, and other light electrical finish components where legally permitted
- Assisting with or installing shower doors and glass systems
- Light and finish carpentry
- Installing baseboards, casing, moulding, and trim
- Building or finishing shower benches
- Installing grab bars
- Installing towel bars, toilet paper holders, hooks, shelving, and other bathroom accessories
- Caulking and finish detailing
- Completing bathroom remodeling punch lists
- Making minor repairs and corrections as projects progress
- Protecting finished surfaces and maintaining clean job sites
- Picking up and transporting job materials when needed
- Identifying field issues and helping develop practical solutions
Plumbing and electrical work requiring a licensed trade will be coordinated with Greystone’s licensed trade partners.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a true jack of all trades with strong residential remodeling experience.
You should be comfortable receiving a project scope or punch list and working through it independently without needing constant supervision.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has several years of residential remodeling, carpentry, bathroom renovation, or similar experience
- Can work independently and manage their day effectively
- Has strong finish-work skills
- Understands framing and proper blocking
- Is comfortable with drywall, plaster, and paint repairs
- Has experience installing vanities, toilets, mirrors, trim, and bathroom accessories
- Has familiarity with shower door and glass installation
- Understands bathroom construction sequencing
- Can troubleshoot everyday remodeling issues
- Pays attention to small details
- Keeps a clean and organized job site
- Communicates clearly with project management
- Is dependable and arrives when scheduled
- Is respectful when working inside occupied homes
- Presents themselves professionally around clients
- Takes ownership of their work
- Understands that every interaction with a homeowner represents Greystone Design + Build

Vehicle & Tools
Candidates must have:
- Their own reliable truck, van, or suitable work vehicle
- Their own standard professional tools
- A valid driver’s license
- The ability to pick up and transport materials when needed
Business mileage will be reimbursed.
Material pickups and work-related travel performed on behalf of Greystone are part of the workday as applicable.
Compensation
$38–$45/hour based on experience and skill level.
This is a full-time W-2 position, typically targeting approximately 40 hours per week.
Overtime opportunities may be available depending on project schedules and workload.
The upper end of the compensation range is intended for an experienced candidate who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, produce high-quality finish work, and complete substantial portions of bathroom projects with minimal supervision.
Someone consistently working full-time within this range can earn approximately $73,000–$93,000+ annually, depending on their hourly rate and hours worked.

If blocking needs to be added before shower glass arrives, a wall needs to be patched and painted, trim needs to be completed, a vanity or mirror needs to be installed, accessories need to be mounted, or a bathroom has a punch list that needs to be closed out, we want someone who can take ownership and get it completed properly.

Schedule & Work Area
This is a full-time position.
Projects are primarily residential bathroom and kitchen renovations throughout the Greater Boston area and surrounding communities.
Reliable transportation and consistent availability are required.
