Join our dynamic team as a Laundry Attendant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional textile cleaning and laundry services. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring all linens, garments, and textiles are cleaned, sanitized, and handled with care, contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment for our guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment efficiently to process large volumes of textiles.
- Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing laundry items according to type and cleaning requirements.
- Use proper sanitation procedures and laundry detergents to ensure all textiles meet cleanliness standards.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using push carts or other equipment to transport linens and garments across the facility.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during manual handling, equipment operation, and chemical use to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including washing stations, storage rooms, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, textile cleaning methods, and laundry services.
- Familiarity with materials handling practices and manual handling safety standards.
- Understanding of sanitation standards and safety procedures applicable in production environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests or staff requesting laundry assistance.
- Experience working in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided on specific procedures.
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
