Mor Sports Group is seeking an experienced Laser Grader Operator to join our growing construction team. We specialize in the construction of high-quality athletic facilities, including sports fields, courts, and recreational spaces. Responsibilities
- Operate laser grading equipment to achieve precise elevations and final base grades.
- Prepare and fine-grade aggregate bases for sports courts, athletic fields, and related construction projects.
- Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and laser control systems.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Work closely with project managers and crew members to ensure projects meet quality standards and schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Travel to project sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating laser grading equipment or similar GPS/laser-controlled grading systems.
- Experience preparing base work for sports courts, athletic fields, roadways, or commercial site development preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand elevations and grading requirements.
- Experience operating skid steers, compact track loaders, graders, or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when project schedules require.
