We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics reading, and technical specifications.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to all NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems to identify root causes swiftly.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to execute precise installations and repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on industrial electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems integral to automation processes.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, frame carpentry skills, and handyman experience to complete diverse electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to protect yourself and team members during all phases of work.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for safe installation practices.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience working with high-voltage wiring and low-voltage control circuits in diverse environments.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation controls, and industrial control panels.
- Strong understanding of local electrical codes and regulations ensuring compliance at all times.
- Construction site experience with renovation projects or new builds; capable of framing carpentry when needed.
- Excellent hand tool proficiency along with power tools necessary for efficient installation and repair work.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues quickly while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: $32.00 – $45.00 per hour
