Duties
- Install new irrigation systems, including piping, sprinkler heads, controllers, and automated control systems, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency
- Conduct regular maintenance and repair of existing irrigation equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan
- Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to identify faults quickly and accurately
- Perform excavation work for underground piping installations or repairs with proper safety protocols
- Manage irrigation schedules using automated control systems to optimize water usage based on soil science and landscaping needs
- Assist with landscaping tasks related to irrigation projects, including soil preparation and integration with lawn care practices
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance tips, and addressing client concerns effectively
Experience
- Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair projects
- Strong mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Hands-on experience with excavation tools and techniques for underground piping work
- Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and system management software
- Knowledge of landscaping principles, soil science, and lawn care practices related to irrigation efficiency
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various project scenarios
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication
