The purpose of the Graduate Internship Programme is to work under supervision of a professionally qualified individual, in order to gain experience through a structured 24-month training programme. The programme seeks to place the graduate intern in specific areas within TNPA (Head Office) according to their academic background, career aspirations and business requirements.
Position Outputs
Follow a structured training programme.
Undergo performance reviews and assessments.
Perform all duties as contained in his/her development programme, as well as which s/he may reasonably be required to perform by Transnet National Ports Authority (Head Office).
Qualifications and Experience
Infrastructure Department: Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering- Based in Durban. NB: Preference Will Be Given to Applicants Within the Kwa- Zulu Natal Province.
Infrastructure Department: National Diploma in Industrial Engineering Based in Johannesburg. NB Preference Will Be Given to Applicants Within Gauteng Province
Infrastructure Department: National Diploma in Electrical Eng / Electronics- Ngqura-HQ.
People Management Department: National Diploma/ Degree in Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development/ Industrial relations / Personnel Management / Psychology/Industrial Psychology- Ngqura-HQ.
Special Projects Department: BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Industrial Engineering – Ngqura-HQ
Harbour Master Department: – National Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering /Maritime Studies or Electrical Engineering- Ngqura-HQ
Commercial Services Department: National Diploma/ Degree in Real Estate, Property Management , Business Administration, Marketing/ Business Management/Property Management/Public Relations or related -Ngqura-HQ
Risk & Regulatory Management: LLB – Ngqura-HQ
Supply Chain Department: National Diploma /Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics /Auditing/ Compliance and/ or Commerce related qualification- Ngqura-HQ
Finance Department: Bachelor of Commerce in Finance- Ngqura-HQ
Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) Department: National Diploma/ Degree in Software Development/ Software Engineering/ Computer Science- Ngqura-HQ
