Installation Technician
Rebnord Technologies — Storm Lake, Iowa
Rebnord Technologies is hiring a full-time Installation Technician for hands-on fieldwork throughout Northwest Iowa. This position is a good fit for someone with experience in construction, building trades, electrical work, maintenance, general labor, farming, mechanical work, or a similar hands-on field.
Formal IT experience is not required. We are looking for someone dependable who can use tools, follow a project plan, solve problems, and complete work with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Install low-voltage wiring, network cabling, security cameras, access-control equipment, and related systems.
- Install, move, and remove computers and other equipment.
- Plan ahead and bring the tools, parts, and materials needed for each job.
- Work through unexpected job-site conditions and find practical solutions.
- Test completed work and review the results with the customer.
- Track time and materials and update assigned work orders.
- Clean the work area and return unused tools, equipment, and materials.
Requirements
- Experience with construction, building trades, installation, maintenance, general labor, or other hands-on work is preferred.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Able to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Able to stand, bend, climb, reach, and lift or carry tools, equipment, and materials.
- Able to safely work at heights of up to approximately 50 feet using approved access equipment and required safety systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to our Storm Lake office.
- Able to travel to customer locations, generally within 70–100 miles of Storm Lake.
- Able to pass required background checks, security assessments, and CJIS access requirements.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to document completed work.
- CDL with air-brake endorsement is a plus but not required.
Schedule and Benefits
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Full-time, hourly position
- Pay based on experience and demonstrated ability
- Up to 160 hours of paid time off per year
- Rotating after-hours on-call schedule; calls are limited but may occasionally require an on-site response
