ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The industrial technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment and systems.
● Provide installation as well as emergency and scheduled/preventative repairs of industrial equipment, systems and facilities.
● Ensure operation of mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
● Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools. Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
● Perform a variety of simple machinist/construction duties and responsibilities.
● Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
● Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
● Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. At times, the employee will be required to work at elevations up to 40 feet. While most of our work is conducted inside, a portion of our work is done outside and exposure to the elements is to be expected.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
● High school diploma/GED required
● Must have reliable transportation to/from jobsite
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
● Mechanical and industrial maintenance skills
● Completion of a craft apprenticeship or industrial maintenance experience
● Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
● Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and assessing systems for source of failure, or potential failure

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
