Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment including bucket trucks, cranes, aerial lifts, loaders, forklifts, and other construction machinery.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues through electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete maintenance logs, and document repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as tire service, alignment adjustments, HVAC system checks, lubrication procedures, and heavy lifting operations to prolong equipment lifespan.
- Assist in the assembly of new machinery or components and conduct testing to verify proper operation before deployment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with dealership experience highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, diesel engine repair, hydraulic systems troubleshooting, brake repair, suspension work, and HVAC systems.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals related to OEM equipment specifications.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely for testing purposes during repairs or maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication tools necessary for custom modifications or repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $30.48 – $36.71 per hour
